Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Course

Course Overview:
This course is designed for all levels of employee’s who use, store, transport biological, chemical and radioactive substances ranging from standard cleaning chemicals to harmful toxic substances and covers the safe use of these substances and the correct procedure to follow when storing or transporting these substances. The course also covers identification and marking of substances according to international standards.

Target Audience:
The course is designed for all employees up to and including management level.

- The ability to identify all the different types of harmful / toxic substances –hazard classification.
- The ability of identifying the correct PPE that shall be used when dealing with dangerous substances.
- The ability of correctly using of the PPE when dealing with dangerous substances.
- The ability to complete a task risk assessment for COSHH.
- The knowledge about storage of dangerous substances.
- The knowledge about transportation of dangerous substance.
- The knowledge about what to do in an emergency situation if there is a spill or chemical release.
